In Paragon, you can attach URLs to any reference or transaction form or transaction line. This means that you can attach a URL to separate items on a sales order, invoice, quote, etc. (transaction lines or forms), or, to a product, customer, vendor, or person (reference forms). Here, we'll walk you through the proper methods of using attachments in Paragon.
First we'll discuss attaching URLs on separate line items on transactions. Keep in mind that once you know how to attach URLs on one module, you'll know how to attach them on all modules.
In this example, we'll attach URLs to separate line items on a sales order. Click here to see how to create orders.
From the Home-screen, hit the Order module.
Once you've added a line item to a transaction, you can start to add line attachments. To do this, right click on the individual line you'd like to attach a URL to and choose Add Attachments from the drop down list.
From here, a modal will pop up and you can proceed to attach your URL. To do this, enter the URL in the box, and hit the attach button (Once attached, the link will pop up under 'Attached' in the modal). Keep in mind that you can attach as many URLs as you wish on one line. Once you've attached everything you need, hit the accept button.
Once you've added the necessary attachments, save your changes by hitting the save button.
Once saved, you can check your attachments by going back to the transaction form, and right clicking on the line item. the blue arrow also indicates that there are modifications on certain line items. When a line item has an attachment, the drop down menu will show 'View Attachments'.
Now, we'll walk you through attachments on reference/transaction forms.
You also have the option of attaching URLs to reference forms. In this example, we'll attach a URL to the Product form. Again, once you know how to attach on one screen, you'll know how to attach on all other screens.
First, hit the Product module.
Once you've chosen a product from the list view, hit the list view button at the top left hand corner of the screen. From here, hit the edit button. You can now hit the Attachment link at the bottom of the screen, and proceed to attach your URL(s).
A modal will pop up, and you'll be prompted to enter a URL you would like to attach. Enter the URL, and hit the Attach button. Once attached, the link will pop up under 'Attached' in the modal. Once you're done, hit the accept button.
Once you've attached everything you need, hit the save button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to save your changes.
You can now view your attachments by hitting the attachment link at the bottom of the screen once you're out of edit mode.
