How to inherit invoice information from an event

Did you ever want to invoice a customer for products and services at the same time? Well, that's possible in Paragon, and we'll walk you through the process. All you need to do is create an event with labor and products/materials, and add that event onto your invoice.

Step 1: Create an event

From the home screen, hit the more tab at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

From this menu, hit the event module.

From this screen, hit the green create new button at the top left corner.

In this example, we are creating a manual event. Choose the customer you are creating an event for. In this case we're choosing Robo Tics.
Add the appropriate labor, products, and/or materials you will be using during this event.

You can add line attributes to your line items.

Here, we've added units of measure. You'll know if something has been added to the line item if there is a blue arrow next to the line.

Once you're all done, save the event by hitting the save button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Note: You'll have to add a start and end time for the event to be pulled onto your invoice.

Step 2: Create your invoice

Once you're done creating your event, make your way over to the invoice module. Hit the invoice module from the right hand menu.

From the invoice list view, hit the green create new button. You can now choose the customer you are invoicing. The customer you invoice must match the customer you've created an event for.

Step 3: Add your event

Hit the blue add new button to add the event, just as if you're adding items to your invoice.

Choose the event tab. Select the event you'd like to invoice.

Upon saving the invoice, you'll be notified of the reduction of the items you've added to your invoice.

Once you're done saving, you can now issue your invoice by hitting the green action button at the bottom right hand corner.
