As you are familiar with rules, they allow you to change the behavior of the software to suit your business’ specific needs without having to change the software itself. Run now rules are rules whose execution does not depend on a condition or a certain point in the process. Rather, their execution is up to the user's discretion at any point in time. While rules are like laws in your system, run now rules are like presidential decrees that can overrule everything.
For example, if your business laws dictate that certain shipments going out of a certain warehouse should be treated differently, you could use a simple rule. This is because your rule has conditions that need to be satisfied and you know exactly where in the process it has to be triggered. On the other hand, when you decide to change something in your system at a specific point in time, such as seasonal prices, you could use a run now rule.
Run now rules, due to their nature, must be triggered manually by the user. Only Jonar has permission to create such rules. But once created, they can be run by any user providing that they have been granted access through the user access module.
Note: It is important to understand that the execution of rules will bring about change to your data. It is not possible to undo a rule with just a click of a button.
Make sure that your system has been setup for your team to run these types of rules and that the rules are activated. If you require more information or help, please feel free to contact us at support@paragon-erp.com
Once you activated the rule, you can run it by clicking on the run now blue button.
After you click on the run now button, a window will appear and ask you to confirm your action.
Immediately after you run the rule, you will see a notification confirming the execution.
