Introduction
Picking goods for shipping can be a complicated process if your warehouse is very large or if you have a lot of stock to wade through every time you want to prepare a shipment. This is why ParagonERP offers a scanning feature that will greatly reduce the rate of human error and reduce the time it takes to perform this task. Here, we'll take a look at what you can expect to see while navigating the application. The mobile app is made up of four screens: the login, pick tickets, pick ticket summary, and pick ticket detail screens.
The login screen
The login screen is as straightforward as it seems. There are fields for your username and password. From here you're taken to the pick tickets screen.

The picker's user account in Paragon needs to be set up to be linked to a person which is flagged as "Is Picker".
My Company attributes
There are several attributes that can be used in My Company for the mobile picking app:
- Include customer name on pick
- this is an On/Off attribute that can be used if the customer name is needed in the pick summary screen in mobile
- Compound SKU attribute(s)
- Any pick line attribute can be included in the pick summary and pick details screens in mobile to help pickers understand if a pick line is considered as part of a set
- These can be any attribute type (except for custom attributes) and will be listed by line in both the detail and summary screens in the mobile app
The pick tickets screen
The pick tickets screen is where individual pick tickets can be selected. A picker will only see unfulfilled pick tickets that have already been assigned to them directly or that are currently unassigned. These pick tickets will be sorted first by the due date, and then by the date that they were created. Each record, whenever applicable, will show:
- The pick ticket number
- The total quantity of product requested
- The bin to which the pick is being assigned
- The due date
- The assignee
- An icon, if the ticket is in progress or complete
Selecting a pick ticket will bring you to the pick ticket summary screen.

All your pick tickets in Paragon must have a valid ship from location.
The pick ticket summary screen
In the
pick ticket summary screen we can see the details of each product in our pick ticket. Each record, whenever applicable, will display:
- The product's code
- The product's description
- The location from where the product will be retrieved
- The total quantity requested
- The quantity already picked
- The inventory of product available at the location
- The assignee
- An icon, if the ticket is in progress or complete
Selecting a record on this screen takes you to the pick ticket details screen.
The pick ticket details screen
Within the
pick ticket detail screen we record the transfer of a product from its initial location to the bin we assigned to the ticket (by scanning the barcode).
Each record, whenever applicable, will display:
- The product's code
- The product's description
- The location from where the product will be retrieved
- The total quantity requested
- The quantity already picked
- The inventory of product available at the location
- The assignee
Including customer name in your pick
The customer name can be a useful way to identify your orders in the picking phase. From Paragon, you have the ability to choose if the customer name should appear in the mobile application.
Navigate to my company in Paragon and edit your attributes. Select include customer name on pick and check the box to activate it.
After saving, return to the mobile application, where you should now be able to see your customer names in your picks.
