How to view a customer's balance through the AR Aging Report

In Paragon, you can see the balance owed by a customer through a variety of features. The AR aging report allows you to view your accounts receivable filtered by currency, due date, customer, and more.  Here, we’ll show you how to view a customer balance through the AR aging report. You can also learn how to view a customer’s balance through thcustomer screen, or through the customer statement report.

Step 1: Open the AR aging report

From any screen in Paragon, hit the more tab.

From the more tab, select the reports module.

From the reports module, select the AR aging report either from the left-hand bar or under the finance card.

Step 2: Select report content and filters

By default, the AR aging report will show you all accounts receivable for your company, broken down by currency, customer, transaction number, and days overdue. The report shows how many days overdue each transaction is, based on it's due date. If there was no due date, then the report considers the transaction date instead.

If transactions are not overdue, they will show up in the current column.

Contact us via jonar@jonar.com if you want a rule deployed to add the transaction date plus the terms attribute to automatically populate your due date.

Hitting the blue bar on the left side of the screen will expand your filter options.

For example, you can filter your report by customer, currency, transaction status, transaction type, or transaction number. You can also choose your as at  date. This means you can run your AR aging report in the past, present, or future, to view how many days your receivables are overdue on any date.

You may also select more than one option for a report by clicking and dragging along the options in the filter screen.

I've filtered my report, now what?

Once you're done setting your filters, you can export the report to Excel by hitting the export button at the far right of the screen, just above the print preview option.

Here's what your export will look like:
