Advanced filtering of list view

For historical data and audit purposes, it is critical that Paragon keeps a record of every transaction that has occurred, meaning that over a long period of time thousands of transactions can accumulate in modules. Depending on the module, it is not necessary to see an entire ledger of historical transactions on a day-to-day basis. It is more distracting than it is useful to see all this information daily. With advanced filtering functionality, you can now filter down all module lists by using any fields that are configured as columns in the list view.

All of your preferred filters for every module are saved, and remembered and every time you open a module, only the subset of transactions will load. This in turn has a performance improvement when using extensive modules.

Create a company or item within a transaction

Rushed orders can be a stressful experience, especially if your ERP system hasn’t been designed for quick and seamless order entry. Say you’re at a trade show and a new customer is eager to place their first order with you. You can now create a new customer for them in Paragon directly from the order module, saving you time and effort. After entering the necessary information about your new customer, it will be created, activated, and assigned to the current order. It’s as simple as that!

Don’t worry! Only users that have access to create customers and vendors will typically have access to this feature.

This new feature doesn’t stop there! You can also create new items directly from the transaction modules by clicking the create new button at the bottom of the add item modal.

Custom BOM on transaction detail reports

In Paragon, there are two types of BOMs (Bill of Materials) - an item BOM and a custom BOM. The item BOM lives on the item and is the estimate of what is required to manufacture. The custom BOM lives on transactions and is the record of what actually was used during manufacturing. Both are important to maintain in order to compare how accurate your estimates are or if a particular manufacturing process is going off track.

Custom BOMs can be enabled on quote, purchase order, work order and order, all of which have detailed WIGO reports. We have added the custom BOM as a section to all of these reports to give you a more comprehensive view of the manufacturing side of your business.

If you do not use custom BOM on some or all of these modules you will not see this information in WIGO.

Import your Shopify tags on products and orders

Shopify allows you to apply “tags” to any order or product that is entered. These tags can be used to direct orders and products into categories or different processes. For example, a group of products can be tagged as “Summer 2021” and orders can be classified as “Rush” or “B2B.”

These tags are relevant to how or when you process your orders and treat your products, making the information crucial to record in Paragon. These tags are now imported as attributes and can be seen on products and orders and used in all reporting.

Tags are imported from Shopify to Paragon. If a tag is changed in Paragon, Shopify will not be updated. Tags will not be updated in Paragon after an order is completed.

Line discounts on reservations, picks and material picks

In Paragon you can create transactions off of other transactions. When strung together, these transactions represent your business workflow. A common workflow is receiving an order, issuing a pick for the order, and then invoicing the pick. Invoicing the pick may be specifically relevant for your workflow if you do not invoice the entire order at once. When you pick and invoice orders progressively, it is important that any discounts committed to on the order are carried through the pick ticket properly onto the invoice. To ensure this, line discounts, unit price, and totals have been added to picks, reservations and material picks.

These new columns can also be accessed in WIGO for BI reporting and added to PDF print outs.
