Release Notes - April 22 2025
New Bill of Materials (BOM) grid features, enhanced cost permissions, and alphanumeric sorting for transaction grids in Paragon.
This update focuses on enhancing visibility within your manufacturing processes while strengthening data security. We have upgraded our Bill of Materials (BOM) interface with advanced grid tools and introduced new permission controls to protect sensitive cost information.
-
Advanced BOM grids: You can now filter, sort, and customize columns within your Bill of Materials just like in other transaction grids.
-
Cost security: New permissions allow you to hide or lock unit and total costs for specific users.
Improvements
Enhanced Bill of Materials grids
To make managing complex production requirements easier, we have added our advanced grid functionality to the item bill of materials (BOM) screen and transaction BOM modals. You can now use the column selector to add or remove attributes and apply filters to find specific components quickly.

User permissions for unit costs
We recognize that manufacturing cost data can be sensitive. You now have the power to hide unit and total costs entirely from specific users. Alternatively, you can allow users to view the costs but prevent them from editing them. these permissions apply to both the main item BOM screen and the BOM modals within transactions.

Alphanumeric transaction sorting
Searching through hundreds of items in a large transaction is now easier. While grids still default to entry line order, any manual sorting you apply to item grids now follows a strict alphanumeric logic. Please note that special symbols are currently ignored in this sorting process as we continue to refine this feature.

New inventory data in BigQuery
To support more accurate inventory counts and stock adjustments, we have added frozen price and frozen quantity data points to our BigQuery (BQ) libraries. These fields are essential for historical snapshots and deep-dive inventory business intelligence (BI) analysis.

Bug fixes
-
Screen setup: Fixed an issue where empty attribute rows could be saved in the screen setup module, preventing unnecessary clutter in your configuration.
