What's new with Paragon - December 26, 2017

New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.

Here's what we've been working on to make ParagonERP work better for you.

Improvements made to boxing module

In Paragon, you can create boxes for all of your outgoing shipments. This functionality gives you the flexibility to pack boxes by style, by weight, or any configuration required. Over the last two weeks we've made some changes to boxing inside Paragon.

You have the ability to assign attributes specific to your business to boxes. If you need to specify that the boxes need to be refrigerated, or a special sealing, or contain fragile objects, now you can!

Further, the boxing function is now launched from the green action button when you are in the pack module instead of the shipment module. This change was made because boxing is done and box numbers are assigned prior to shipping.

Bugs

Here's a list of pesky bugs we squashed with this update:

  • You can no longer rename the field 'short_description'. It is mandatory and must remain untouched.
  • Certain system attributes were not appearing in the business panel drop-down list in screen setup. This has been corrected.
  • Some fields were not visible in attribute setup and add address. The fields are now outlined with a grey box to be consistent with the rest of the design.
  • In the inventory history, the label 'unit' has been changed to 'unit value'.
  • When there are no financial periods set up, you are now unable to issue invoices.
  • When logging in, you could continue typing in the password field while Paragon was loading.
  • The label 'codes' has been changed to 'attributes' in the universal translator.
  • Blank records in address entry for customers, vendors and customer has been removed.
  • If you lock yourself out of Paragon due to too many incorrect password attempts, the message you received was incorrect.
  • The message received when re-setting your password was formatted incorrectly.
