Release Notes - February 25 2025
Prevent over-crediting with new RMA blockers and access Price Book data in BigQuery for advanced reporting in Paragon.
Table of contents
This release focuses on strengthening financial controls and expanding your reporting capabilities. We have introduced smart blockers to prevent over-crediting and integrated Price Book data into our advanced analytics tools to give you better insights into your pricing strategies.
-
Credit note safeguards: Blocker notifications now prevent you from issuing credits or Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) that exceed the original invoice total.
-
Price Book analytics: Detailed pricing data is now available in BigQuery and Looker for comprehensive reporting.
New features
Credit and RMA validation blockers
To ensure financial accuracy and prevent costly data entry errors, Paragon now monitors the relationship between credits and invoices more strictly. If you attempt to issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or Credit Note that exceeds the value of the original invoice, the system will trigger a blocker notification. Additionally, you will be alerted if the linked invoice has already been credited, preventing duplicate refunds.

Improvements
Price Book data in BigQuery and Looker
We have expanded our data availability in BigQuery and Looker to include Price Book information. This enhancement makes it easier than ever to report on and review customer-specific and product-specific pricing. You can now perform deep-dive analysis on your pricing structures directly within your Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Bug fixes
-
Zero-stock products: Fixed a bug where saving a product with no remaining stock would return an error. You can now save these records without interruption.
-
Currency synchronization: Changing the default currency in Paragon now correctly updates the currency for your base Price Book.
-
Attribute refreshing: Resolved an issue where attributes added to reference panels would not refresh properly after being modified by a custom rule. These fields now update instantly as expected.
