What's new with Paragon - February 7, 2017

New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.

Here's what we've been working on to make ParagonERP work better for you.

Import and export data from the settings module

Paragon has a tool called the universal translator, which allows you to mass import and export data. This tool can now be accessed through the settings module under the reports & data card.

Validation added to the inventory module

You cannot add or deduct stock from a location that is inactive. This means that if you have inventory in a location, the location cannot be deactivated until all of the inventory is removed. Likewise, stock cannot be moved to a location if it is inactive.

Rules

Rules can be turned on or off in Paragon based on how you run your business. Below you'll find the rules that have been created over the last two weeks. Keep in mind, however, that we have many more available.

  • You can now set up volume and vendor pricing for products and materials. When you save a purchase order for a vendor and a certain quantity of product, the price stored in the product file for that vendor and quantity will appear on the purchase order automatically.

Bugs

  • You can no longer drag and drop columns in the receive payment module.
  • If you add a bill to or ship to address on a customer or vendor and the same address already exists for that customer or vendor, a second, identical address will not be created.
  • The labels on the address entry screen are now correct.

  • When adding items to a transaction, you can no longer edit the quantities until the items have been added to the transaction itself.
