New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.
Here's what we've been working on to make ParagonERP work better for you.
We added a detailed customer history report
This report shows customer contact information, financial information, attributes associated to the customer as well as a brief transaction history. Further, any notes you enter in the customer module will also appear in the customer form report. This report is accessed through the green action button in the customer record itself.
Workflow protection: You cannot accidentally create anything from a transaction that is on hold
When you create a transaction, you can put it on hold status. Previously an on hold transaction could be used to create another transaction. For example, an invoice could be created off an order in hold status. With this update we've added a validation that prevents this from happening. Now, when you choose to create a transaction off another transaction, the transaction list that appears excludes transactions that are on hold.
New interface for adding exchange rates
We've reformatted the page where you set up and add exchange rates for your company in Paragon. It is located under the financials card under in the settings module.
New Integration: Agile's 3PL Central
We've integrated Paragon with 3PL Central. If your warehouse is using Agile's software, you can automatically synchronise inventory, picks, and use other tools to outsource your distribution and fulfillment activities.
Add rules in one module without affecting others in its category
Since products, tools and materials fall under the item category, a rule written for any one affected all three. We've added a feature that allows rules to be created for these modules independently.
New interface for adding GL periods
We've given the page where you set up and add GL periods for your company in Paragon a new look. It's located under the financials card in the settings module.
Rules
We've created a rule that prevents multiple credit notes from being created from the same return merchandise authorization. This helps prevent users from accidentally creating more credit notes than were authorized.
We also created a rule that automatically takes volume discounts into consideration when creating purchase orders and generates the correct cost based on how much was ordered.
Bugs
Here's a list of pesky bugs we squashed with this update:
- Purchase cost now saves correctly when adding a bill of materials to a new product.
- Deleting line items before you save no longer causes incorrect totals.
- Creating a purchase order from multiple orders now displays correct totals.
- Users would sometimes get an empty string message when importing records with a "#" in the sign-in address using the universal translator. This has been corrected.
