      What's new with Paragon - May 12, 2020

      Write rules that use the created by and modified by profile names

      Paragon's rules engine allows you to customize your ERP system in a variety of ways. Created by and modified by have now been exposed to the rules engine for all references and transactions. This update will allow you to run a rule that creates attributes using the username of the last person to have changed the transaction, and the time at which the change happened. 
      With this information, you will be able to report on when a user created or modified a specific record.

      Update the cost of the parent component and the sub component when changing the price of a material using a rule


      Do you use nested bills of material (BOMs)? We just added a great way to update the purchase cost of the top level product when the cost of a material is updated.

      By default, the purchase cost of a top level BOM component and/or finished product does not get updated when the cost of a material is changed. With this update, we added an action button rule that you can use when you change the cost of a material and you want to automatically update all the materials and products that are using this material.

      Bugs

      Here's a list of the bugs we've eliminated with this update:

      Paragon

      1. Drop down list attributes are now ordered by ordinal.
      2. Columns can now be deleted in the screen list view setup.
      3. Create this from that carries over custom BOM.
      4. Fixed the bug that prevented a rule to be triggered before and after void transactions.
      5. Images print on template reports.
      6. The search function now works even if you have a custom query in list view.
      7. Fixed the error when importing numbers with multiple decimals using the UT. 
      8. Fixed the bug that was adding action buttons to generate template reports on the wrong module.
      9. User access is now disabled for non-administrators and always shows for administrators. 
      10. New users can log into test mode without having to reset test mode.

      Wikett

      1. Orders and returns can now be reconciled using Wikett.
