What's new with Paragon - May 17, 2016

New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.

Here's what we've been working on to make ParagonERP work better for you.

Features and Improvements

We have continued to improve the search functionality within Paragon. Previously, words entered in the search field used the information found in the first column only. Now, you can search based on information found in any column on the screen.

When you create a picking ticket, only locations with available inventory will display. Displaying the relevant locations will save a lot of time and frustration in helping you determine which location to pick from.

While there will be defaults setup upon starting Paragon for the first time, we have added the ability to choose which columns will appear in each list view. This provides significant flexibility for each tenant in ParagonERP.

Additional improvements have been made to the outstanding column:

  • The outstanding quantity column is no longer only applied to transactions created off orders. Now, if you wish to create an invoice off a shipment, the outstanding quantities on the shipment will display in the selection screen.
  • If you hover over the outstanding column, a tool tip displays the calculation applied to arrive at the outstanding value.
  •  You can create a rule that calculates the outstanding quantity for transactions in temp status, or only issued status

Codes can be mass uploaded into Paragon using the universal translator, which means new organizations can be set up at a much faster pace. This also means that mass additions to codes and attributes can be done much more quickly.

Bugs

Manual inventory adjustments weren't updating the inventory available report. This has been corrected.

The item activity panel was missing quote information. This has been corrected

We've significantly reduced the frequency of internal errors that occur in the discount, other charges, and tax screen of transactions. We are also currently testing a fix that will eliminate the problem entirely.
