What's new with Paragon - September 22, 2020

New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.

Security improvements

It's essential for us to keep up to date with the highest possible security practices, so we are carrying out some important updates. We were recently notified by Google (our Cloud hosting service) that there was a security vulnerability in the Linux kernel that could have a potential impact on our systems. For that reason, we are upgrading the underlying ParagonERP infrastructure to be on the latest version of our core services. This is a big update and will require about an hour of downtime to apply the change for all our customers (after business hours) but the key benefits to this upgrade will be better security and reliability.

Updated payment receipt emails

Next time you receive your monthly payment receipt from Jonar, you'll notice things are a little bit different. We've updated the design of our communication and switched onto a new email tool. No more checking your spam folder!

Bugs

Here's a list of bugs we've eliminated with this update:
  1. Shopify orders with custom items now import.
  2. The Add New button is no longer enabled where it shouldn't be.
  3. Speed improvement for PDF generations for transactions with many BOM lines.
