Managing price agreements and customer discounts

Learn how to set up automatic customer discounts and individual price agreements for products in Paragon.

In Paragon, you can automatically apply specific discounts to articles or article groups. You can set these up either based on a customer category (discount group) or as a unique agreement with a specific customer.

Price agreements for customer discount groups

Use this method when a specific discount on a product applies to an entire group of customers.

  1. Open the product module and select the relevant item.

  2. Navigate to the references (RELATIE) tab and click edit (Wijzigen).

  3. Click create (Aanmaken) and set the following:

    • Reference Type: Product.

    • Reference ID: The product number (article code) of the current item.

    • Customer Discount Group: Select the group number/name from the list.

    • Selling Price: Enter the adjusted price and the currency.

      Under the references section, click create again to add the specific attributes:

Note: The customer's currency code is leading. You cannot enter a currency that differs from the one assigned to the customer. Tip: type "v" to quickly find the Selling Price field.

Individual customer agreements for a single item

Use this method for a "special price" agreed upon with one specific customer for one specific item.

  1. Open the customer module and select the relevant customer.

  2. Navigate to the references (RELATIE) tab and click edit.

  3. Click create and set the following:

    • Reference Type: Product.

    • Reference ID: Select the product number of the item receiving the discount.

    • Selling Price: Enter the agreed individual price and currency.

      Under the references section, click create to add the price attribute:

Note: Just like group agreements, the currency must match the customer's assigned currency.
