Here, we will show you how to add attributes (or fields of information) to the lines in transactions. You may ask, why would I want to do that? As an example, let's say you have many divisions of products and this information is important to record on each individual line of an order.
If you are not familiar with the format of transaction screens, get yourself oriented on transaction screens here.
Make sure you have already created the attributes and that you've set up attributes on transaction lines.
We’ll use the order module here as an example, but the same applies for all transaction modules. Once you’ve logged into Paragon you can access any transaction module by clicking in the right hand navigation bar.
If the module does not appear in the navigation bar, you can find it by clicking the more button in the bottom right of the screen.
Select the transaction module that you want to view. As mentioned, in this sample, we have selected order.
Once you have selected your order, hit the edit button at the top right corner of the screen.
Right click on the transaction line that you want to add an attribute to. Then, hit edit line attributes.
This screen will automatically appear. Hit the blue add an attribute button.
From the list that appears, select the attribute that you would like to add to the line.
From a drop down menu, you can select the attribute you want to add to the transaction line. The drop down menu will list the attributes that you have already created.
Hit the green accept button to save and proceed with the added attribute. To cancel, hit the red close button.
To save the added attribute, hit the save button at the bottom right of the screen.
