Automatically update the transaction date at issue or completion time
Transactions can be prepped ahead of time in Paragon and left in temp status until it has been finalized. For example, you may prep and pack up a shipment Friday that’s scheduled to be sent out Monday. However, it’s likely that you would want the shipment confirmation to be sent to the customer with the date that the shipment actually left the dock. The same can be said for an invoice that is only issued days later. This can be easily accomplished in Paragon by having the transaction date automatically update with the date that the transaction was issued or completed.
This can also be used to make sure that any inventory costs or AR/AP amounts are only
posted to your GL once the associated transaction is issued or completed.
Report on void reason codes in WIGO
When voiding a transaction, a reason code is required to explain why it was voided. These can range from general mistakes in data entry to an external software issue. For example, if a payment from a customer fails due to insufficient funds, you may void the payment with a particular code. These codes will now show up on any transaction summary or detail report, making it easy to identify which payments bounced.
Report on discrepancies between what was ordered and received
In addition to the void reason codes, the expected quantity on receipt lines was also added to WIGO. This will allow you to identify and address any differences between what was ordered from a vendor or expected from a customer return and what was actually
received.
Hide transaction totals with user access control
Businesses may want certain employees or roles to only have limited access to financial information in your ERP system. In Paragon, you can now hide the monetary totals and charge breakdowns for users with a specific
security profile. This grants you even more control over who in the organization can see what.
