What's new with Paragon - May 24, 2022

New features and bug fixes every two weeks. Come back here to check out what's new.

Import companies and transactions without updating their addresses

When updating attributes for multiple transactions or companies, using Paragon's import and export tool can make these kinds of changes much quicker. However, most of the time, you only need to update a select number of fields and don't need to update the record's billing or shipping addresses. Previously, these address fields were mandatory, but now you can decide whether or not to include those columns in your export file. Then, on import of existing records, if the address columns are not included, they will be left as is.

When creating new records using the import tool, these address columns will still be mandatory.

View the status of an order line on the transaction grid

Being able to track the progress of an order through the payment and fulfillment process is imperative to maintaining loyal customer relationships. In Paragon, you can now see which order lines have already been reserved, picked, packed, shipped and invoiced directly on the order itself, ensuring that your customer will receive their order on time.

Generate an aged AR or AP report for a future date

We recently implemented functionality that allows you to select a specific date in the past and run the AR and AP reports as if it was that day. Now, that has been expanded to also include selected dates in the future.

Bugs

Here's a list of bugs we've eliminated with this update:
  1. The information button on the Shopify connection modal now links to the correct support document.
  2. The postal code and street number of company addresses are now properly displayed in the customer and vendor listing reports.
  3. Automatic journal entries will now be created and posted for inventory adjustments using the inventory value on the item, even when automatic valuation has been turned off.
