Product stock vs non-stock items
In the past, Paragon classified all items as stock items. However, with the introduction of a new feature, you can now easily distinguish between stocked and non-stocked items. This feature is particularly beneficial for items such as consumables, vouchers and office supplies.
With this new field in the product module, you can set an item as a non-stock item by setting its Stock Type attribute accordingly. As a result, Paragon will not generate inventory adjustments for non-stock items, nor will it maintain any inventory history for them. Additionally, these items can have a purchase cost of zero and will not generate any journal entries.
WARNING! Any user profile with edit access to the product module will be able to change this setting with this update. Please go to User access settings to restrict the editing of this new feature on a per-user profile basis.
Attribute Categories
More preparations for an improved attribute panel experience throughout Paragon are underway. Two new attributes have been added - Default Category and Override Category.
The more tab in the screen setup has been enhanced with capabilities of AG Grid, providing a more dynamic and user-friendly experience. These categories will eventually help you organize your attribute panels across Paragon. We'll keep you posted with more improvements to our attribute panel features.
Import and Export Added to Sales Discounts
We have implemented a data import and export feature to our recently introduced Sales Discount module that allows you to easily add and manipulate data through a spreadsheet. The exported sheet will include all the columns from the sales discounts screens, which can be manipulated and then imported to make multiple adjustments at once.
New Backorder Feature
ParagonERP is introducing a new backorder feature! A new checkbox in the Pick module's advanced settings allows you to turn the setting on (which will be off by default after this update).
When a pick is completed with picked quantities less than the source order's quantities, a modal will appear asking you to confirm the creation of a backorder.
If a backorder is created, the quantity on the original order will be adjusted to match the quantity that was picked. Additionally, a note will be added to the original order, referencing the corresponding backorder number.
Here's a list of bugs we've eliminated and a list of improvements we've made with this update:
- Improved backend security for the Paragon Mobile App
- Fixed a bug in Paragon Mobile App when default location had no inventory
- Fixed a bug with landed costs not updating after actual costs are added
